Carbon structural steel plate refers to carbon steel with less than 0.8% carbon, which contains less sulfur, phosphorus and nonmetal inclusions than carbon structural steel, with better mechanical properties.
JIN LAI is a recognized dealer, stockist and trader of ASTM A572 Gr. 42, 50 CS Sheets Plates Coils, which have corrosion resistance comparable to austenitic varieties, but can be precipitation hardened to even higher strengths than the other martensitic grades. The low carbon content in ASTM A572 Gr. 42 Carbon Steel Plates minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to maintain corrosion resistance in as – welded structures. Ganpat Industrial Corporation is also one of the well – known supplier and trading house for high quality ASME SA 572 Gr. 50 Carbon Steel Coils, which are characterized by high chromium (19 % – 32 %) and molybdenum (up to 5 %) and lower nickel contents than austenitic stainless steels. At certain temperature range, ASTM A572 Gr. 42 Carbon Steel Slatting Coils exhibit brittleness. When nickel is added in ASME SA 572 Gr. 50 Carbon Steel Perforated Coils, for instance, the austenite structure of iron is stabilized. ASTM A572 Gr. 42 CS Plates have a mixed microstructure of austenite and ferrite, the aim usually being to produce a 50 / 50 mixes, although in commercial alloys the ratio may be 40 / 60. ASME SA 572 Gr. 50 CS Coils have roughly twice the strength compared to austenitic stainless steels. ASME SA 572 Gr. 50 CS Slatting Coils has also improved resistance to localized corrosion, particularly pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
ASTM A572 steel plate is used in a variety of structural applications including bridges, buildings, construction equipment, freight cars, machinery, truck parts and transmission towers.
