The resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions in our AISI 1045 Carbon Steel C-Channel led to its wide use in marine applications and other non – oxidizing chloride solutions. As would be expected from its high copper content, this AISI 1045 Carbon Steel Chain is rapidly attacked by nitric acid and ammonia systems. This type of failure in our AISI 1045 Carbon Steel I-Beam is generally associated by means of an environment containing chlorides as well as with stress, water, dissolved oxygen, and other factors. The tendency of austenitic alloys to crack trans – granularly in chloride solutions decreases as the nickel content of our AISI 1045 Carbon Steel H-Beam is increased. These AISI 1045 Carbon Steel T-Beam offer faster machining speeds, longer tool life, improved part quality, and lower total cost of machined parts. Our AISI 1045 CS Angle is forged between 2250 Degree F / 1750 Degree F (1230 Degree C / 955 Degree C) following a soak at forging temperature of 30 minutes per inch of billet or ingot section thickness.
